The SAT, ACT, AP exams and most classroom tests don’t allow calculators with cameras or wireless. You’re responsible for following the rules of your school, exam or workplace.
1. Who we are
These terms are between you and (“we”, “us”). You can reach us on the Discord or at .
2. What CamLamp is
CamLamp is built on a genuine Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus, which we modify with a camera and a wireless module. The calculators are pre-owned: each one is cleaned and tested before we modify it, and may show light signs of use. CamLamp is not made, endorsed or supported by Texas Instruments, and Texas Instruments’ warranty does not cover it.
3. Exams and other prohibited use
CamLamp is not for use on exams, or anywhere calculators with cameras or wireless are prohibited. Using it where it isn’t allowed can lead to cancelled scores, failed courses or discipline. By ordering, you confirm that you understand this and that you, or the person you’re buying it for, will follow the applicable rules. We are not responsible for the consequences of using CamLamp where it is prohibited.
4. Who can buy
You must be 18 or older to order, or have a parent or guardian place the order and agree to these terms. The CamLamp app and our community are for people 13 and older.
5. What you need to use it
CamLamp needs a Wi-Fi network or a phone’s hotspot, either Lamp+ or your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, and a way to set it up: the CamLamp iPhone app, which we help you install after you order, or the web panel at camlamp.com/configure in a browser that supports Web Bluetooth, such as Chrome or Edge. Tether, which solves through your iPhone, needs the CamLamp app. Charges from your AI provider for your own key are yours. The app, the web panel and the third-party services they rely on may change, and we can’t guarantee they will always be available.
6. AI answers can be wrong
CamLamp shows answers and steps written by AI models. They can be incomplete or wrong. Check your work; CamLamp is a study aid, not a guarantee of correct answers.
7. Prices, orders and payment
Prices are in US dollars. Shipping and any sales tax are added at checkout. Orders shipped outside the United States may owe import duties and taxes on delivery. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. We charge you when you place your order.
You can cancel an order at any time before it ships for a full refund. If we can’t ship your order within 30 days, we’ll email you with a new date, and you can cancel for a full refund instead.
Express orders ship out within 24 hours of being placed. If an Express order doesn’t, we’ll refund the difference between the Express price and the standard price.
Batteries are only included if you add them when you order.
Drops. During a limited-time drop, the drop price applies to orders placed before it ends, as shown on the order page and at checkout. Drops apply to the standard CamLamp, not Express, can’t be combined with other discounts, and don’t apply to earlier orders. When a drop ends, CamLamp goes back to its regular price.
8. Orders on eBay
If you buy CamLamp on eBay, eBay’s terms and buyer protection apply to that purchase, along with sections 2 to 6 and 10 of these terms.
9. Returns
Returns and refunds are described in Shipping & Returns.
10. Using the device
CamLamp contains a radio module, FCC ID: . Don’t open, modify or replace its camera, wireless module or antenna. Use it in line with the law and the rules of the places you use it, including in countries other than the United States.
11. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent the law allows, CamLamp, the CamLamp app and the answers it shows are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim about a purchase is limited to what you paid for it. Some states and countries don’t allow these exclusions or limits, so they may not apply to you, and you may have other rights under your local law, including, in the EU and UK, your legal rights for faulty goods.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of , without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these terms. The version shown when you placed your order applies to that order.
